One of my wife’s 6th grade students didn’t eat lunch today because there was an issue with their account and they didn’t want to be seen eating the cheese sandwich that is given to students without funds in their lunch account. This is the America we live in.

I know a kindergarten teacher in Minnesota. She makes sure her kids (students... her kids) eat in the morning, and have the supplies they need to learn. With her own $. Oh beautiful for spacious skies....

You see it happening in Canada too. Not so much with school lunches but for needed classroon items when budgets have been razed.
