School meals should be free. My elementary and middle schools provided free breakfast and lunch for every student. It wasn’t until HS that I realized this wasn’t normal. Instead, we have lunch shaming, hungry kids, and teachers keeping snacks in their desk for those kids.

My Grandmother born 1903 was a School Teacher, In the early 1940s, she managed the lunch program at the Huntley, Wyo., schools. She implemented a Healthy program cuz she knew hungry kids couldn't stay focused. This is part of my Family's Legacy. Georgia Haley

She was.. she was featured in McCall's in the early 60's As a Widow she took care of her 5 kids & taught Healthy eating. Managing your home & working. She also taught Sunday School.. I miss her. She died w/Alzheimer's
