We have reached a point in our society where we have to rely on crowdfunding to pay for healthcare, education, and even kid’s lunches. How about we have the ultimate crowdfund? We’ll call it “taxes” and we’ll use it to pay for things that our society needs.

All the more reason to do it. If the economy is so good, we have the resources to make sure people don’t go bankrupt over medical bills and kids don’t go hungry.

USA has the resources to fund services to the level they do in Scandinavian countries - you just spend that money on armaments - at least 6 times what you need to.
