Why? Public schools can’t possibly educate all. We need options. Public schools are failing BECAUSE of lack of choice.
If you’re worried about capacity, we can build more public schools. On the contrary, many public schools are doing quite well and regularly outperform charter schools. And when “school choice” vouchers were used in Indiana, it cost the state millions of dollars.
