This is a picture of the first car i ever owned, though this isn’t my actual car. I bought a 1972 used Ford Maverick. The passenger side door wouldn’t open. I was proud of it when i drove to part time jobs in college. What was your first car?pic.twitter.com/n73QZv0nbi

1974 VW Beetle. I was in El Paso where it regularly gets to 100-110 degrees and it had no A/C. To make matters worse, the heater was stuck partly on at all times. On the plus side, it was tiny so it was really easy to park.

I had a 69 Bug with the same problems. Plus, the floor was rusting out so it was just a few steps away from becoming a Fred Flinstone mobile. But it was what I could afford.

A 1975 fluorescent green Chevrolet Vega, with dark blue front fenders. I paid $275.00 for it. Friends called it "The Masked Frog." 120 cu. in. aluminum block engine I painstakingly rebuilt, entirely. Still leaked oil like a sieve. Drove it for four years and sold it for $950.00.
