When people tell me the minimum wage doesn’t need to be raised because it’s enough to live on, I say that I lived on in the last time it was raised, over 10 years ago. It sucked then and the cost of living has only gone up. We must raise the minimum wage and tie it to inflation.

Dr. Biggan, what do you feel is a fair wage?

Right now I would push for $15. However, the longer we delay the higher it is going to need to be.

I believe 15 is a good start, but it's still not a liveable wage. Look at the typical wage earner and their expenses and you'll see they will consistently be running behind on bills.

I agree, but it would be a lot better than today’s $7.25/hr.

Completely agree with you there. I am proud some states have taken it upon themselves to raise the minimum wage. I also commend you for tackling this issue. Keep the discussion alive with facts. It's the only way to move policy.
