When people tell me the minimum wage doesn’t need to be raised because it’s enough to live on, I say that I lived on in the last time it was raised, over 10 years ago. It sucked then and the cost of living has only gone up. We must raise the minimum wage and tie it to inflation.

The "minimum wage is for teenagers" argument infuriates me - are there only teenagers making our fast food, food?! Are there only teenagers doing jobs the vast majority of us overlook?! - No. An honest jobs wage, for an honest day's work - simple.

Yep. And let's say it WAS true - somehow it's okay to exploit children? But it's not true. Tons of adults need those jobs and work those jobs and should be able to live a life with all needs, some comforts, and yes even occasional luxuries, paid for by those jobs.

The cost to live goes up, but for some reason, "the powers that be" don't see it fit to make the cost for an honest day's work to up as well. Perhaps because they sit behind a desk, judging the people who are not in their position in life, education, or financially?
