Seriously, it's not enough to be well-educated, or a scientist, or liberal. Such people can be hired as subject matter experts, or work on staff. What we need are people with experience dealing w/ gov't, demonstrated organizing skills and a track record of listening.

I hope you will bring a more scientific viewpoint to your fellow legislators. I also hope you are not a big pharma supporter (because neuro science is often infatuated with pharmaceuticals.
