Automatic non-negotiable prison terms. 20 years: Violent felon with possession of firearm. 15 years: Felon with possession of firearm. 10 years: possession of illegal firearm and for each straw purchase for felon.
I would add to that, we need to give the ATF the resources to enforce those, especially cracking down on straw purchases.
