Because it’s at the cellular level, I assume that it’s effective against all cancer types?

Yes all! My professor Dr. Stuart Tsubota was the one who discovered this gene. He is my mentor. He has published many papers on this. Every time I see him he never says hello. Instead he says,"Where the hell is my paper?".

I have worked with a number of professors like that. They are tenacious.

It was funny because at first it looked like none of the teachers were picking me up for the Master's degree and then Dr. Tsubota grabbed me. A few weeks later another teacher tried to snatch me away but Dr. Tsubota would not allow it

It’s like that’s how it always works out. Feast or famine, nothing in between.

The bioinformatic subject had never been taught at Suny Brockport before and I had a unique perspective. So I worked with the teacher to improve the class. Also I learned new skills

My mentor worked with the other teacher to help me, him and all the students. A win-win

Some of the other professors would ask me what results I was obtaining. First I had to get permission to discuss it. Afterwards the other professors were helping my professor with ideas that they thought would aid the research.

I love collaborative environments like that. I have been in departments that are very siloed as well as more collaborative/multidisciplinary and I will take the latter any day.

Me too It is really important that scientists get into politics. So many decisions that really affect all our lives are being made without public knowledge. I know most scientists hate politics. (me too) Yet it is really a must
