The enhancer of rudimentary in Drosophila melanogaster has its counterpart in the human ERH. The structure is very similar. It is a highly conserved gene.

Cancer requires ERH (not mutated ) in order to replicate. ERH is necessary in every cell of the body. Reduce ERH you can reduce cancer rate. It can be done locally It is totally reversible. This can be used in situations where it has gone too far or cannot be removed surgically

Because it’s at the cellular level, I assume that it’s effective against all cancer types?

Yes all! My professor Dr. Stuart Tsubota was the one who discovered this gene. He is my mentor. He has published many papers on this. Every time I see him he never says hello. Instead he says,"Where the hell is my paper?".

I have worked with a number of professors like that. They are tenacious.

It was funny because at first it looked like none of the teachers were picking me up for the Master's degree and then Dr. Tsubota grabbed me. A few weeks later another teacher tried to snatch me away but Dr. Tsubota would not allow it

It’s like that’s how it always works out. Feast or famine, nothing in between.

The bioinformatic subject had never been taught at Suny Brockport before and I had a unique perspective. So I worked with the teacher to improve the class. Also I learned new skills

My mentor worked with the other teacher to help me, him and all the students. A win-win
