The enhancer of rudimentary in Drosophila melanogaster has its counterpart in the human ERH. The structure is very similar. It is a highly conserved gene.

Cancer requires ERH (not mutated ) in order to replicate. ERH is necessary in every cell of the body. Reduce ERH you can reduce cancer rate. It can be done locally It is totally reversible. This can be used in situations where it has gone too far or cannot be removed surgically

Because it’s at the cellular level, I assume that it’s effective against all cancer types?

Yes all! My professor Dr. Stuart Tsubota was the one who discovered this gene. He is my mentor. He has published many papers on this. Every time I see him he never says hello. Instead he says,"Where the hell is my paper?".

I have worked with a number of professors like that. They are tenacious.

He is a great professor. We would do an experiment over and over until we got the same results several times. This is done to make sure that the results published can be reproduced by anyone. He likes a strong research paper

That’s the way it should be. Reproducibility is paramount.

That is exactly what he would say. Also he would insist on making it as clear as possible. He wanted me to research other papers that covered what I was doing. I read over 900 research papers and five books. Of course, not all of it is going into my research paper.
