Indeed! When the ratio of attorneys to scientists is nearly 200:1, there’s a problem. It certainly explains the science policy that we have been getting.

200x times more Lawyers just to UnDo Science and Data when Trump Administration furloughed more Scientists than any other previous one. They are Retiring them in Droves

Yep. I know people who were at federal science agencies and who worked in science policy with the previous administration who ended feeling like they needed to leave when Trump got there. This administration has had such a chilling effect on scientists. We’ve got to fix it.

It really is shocking. Our government is filled with people who can debate how to write laws, but that doesn't mean they are writing from the point of view of what the laws are about.

The number of lawyers in Congress is much lower than it was before teaparty invasion. That's part of the reason you have so many in Congress who don't even know how the government works. Lawyers in Congress are leading efforts to impeach and remove the president.
