I think a lot of our national problems come from the history we teach and don't teach in school. I graduated in '89 and Vietnam and Korea were footnotes and USA is made to look like heroes in both world wars. Our history is completely washed and sanitized.
The Tulsa Race Riots are without a doubt one of the most despicable (and forgotten) chapters in our nation's history. Let's hope this discovery brings us closer to the proper honoring of these patriotic Americans. I didn't get the real history of stuff until college. I think this is also why college educated people tend to lean liberal.
