Just got a call from a voter who let me know that they were just polled about our race by one of our competitors. All of the candidates were named, including me. Then all of their backgrounds were given...EXCEPT ME!

Sounds like they are scared to go toe-to-toe on professional backgrounds. If they weren’t scared they would have said that I:

For. Though to be fair, I'd support any plan that achieves universal healthcare including Medicare for All, Medicare for America, or a traditional public option.

Medicare For America and a traditional public option do not, in fact, secure universal healthcare. Sorry. Health insurance is not health care. Universal insurance is not universal care.

Agreed that insurance is not the same as healthcare. I have delayed treatment or rationed medicine even when I had insurance because of the high out of pocket costs. That is why I want to fix the whole system, not just the insurance piece.

The only program that actually does that is
#MedicareForAll though. That's why you lost me.2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes
I appreciate your passion. And as I have said, I will vote for M4A. If, however, the vote (which will be directed by the new president) is for a public option I’ll vote for that because it will still mean that more people have some access to care that they otherwise would not.

The vote won't be directed by the President. That's not how Congress works. Congresspeople are going to have to FIGHT for
#MedicareForAll. If your position is "I will vote for whatever the new president proposes if it helps more people" that's a problem.0 replies 0 retweets 2 likesThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
