Not only do we not have enough science/data science employees in the government, we also have virtually no legislators with that background either. Want to make sure the government has the resources to function in the 21st century? Let’s elect scientists/data scientists.
We could also just keep electing the same people with the same backgrounds over and over again and expect different results. I like the first option better, but perhaps I’m biased.
