My son is a severe weather fanatic. I will have to remind him to keep his eye on his bride on Friday ( he is getting married in Houston) not the line of thunderstorms with severe weather that is coming later. Its tough being a weather geek

we have had 13 storms so far with a total ace of 87 or 6.67/storm. 1961 had 12 storms total ace of 210 or 17.5/storm. You may have more storms, but its either because of better detection or there are many that are smaller and weaker Even strong storms are smaller now

November averages. 7 ace points. Since I think there will be a Nicole next week we should wind up with 10-15 total. Would give us a seasonal ace of 95. Average about 125. Ace/storm would be 6.5. In the 1950s it was over 10!

Nicole should develop next week out of non tropical origins but convert near Bahamas. Could impact east coast. Likely the last of the season, but 3 in November would verify our idea of bigger than ave end to a below average ACE season. Very low ace/storm also!

We have a much above ace November. Martin is popping in the north atlantic and I think we see another development next week around the Bahamas. Lisa is there too heading for central America Martin is 13th storm. ACE so far about 85. Ace/storm VERY low 6.5
