You sir made the connection between Moses and Zipporah, not me. And I don’t need to prove what’s not there. the burden is on the one inserting assertions, you.

The cnxn between Moses and Zipporah shows that the sign of covenant initiation (circumcision and then baptism) ought be applied to the household.

No sir, it does not. Give me that from the Apostles. Circumcision was a sign. That to which it pointed was regeneration. Which the elect alone have. It pointed to the washing of the Holy Spirit; not to other signs.

Circumcision was given to Abraham, right?

And Abraham knew God in the same way we do, right? By grace through faith?

He was saved by grace through faith, yes sir. Gen 15:6, etc.

So I know you won’t agree, but I see this as the same covenant ESSENCE, with a different ADMINISTRATION. And obviously, the sign that Abe rec’d was given to his children as well. I see nothing in the NT that changes the essence of this covenant.

Do you teach that a child must be baptized on the 8th day or else he (or she) is cut off from God having broken the covenant?

No, because baptism is not administrated in that way; although I do my best to avoid an undue delay.

Then please stop claiming an allegedly seamless continuity w/ OC circumcision & NC water baptism if you won’t stake to both the same level of covenant-breaking importance, sir. If each are “the signs of the covenant” then why does Paul abrogate 1 w/out mentioning the other?

I didn’t say seamless; I acknowledge discontinuity in administration. And he does, Col. 2.
