With the greatest respect, the burden of proof is on those who make the positive claim that babies cannot be baptized. Nowhere does Scripture, nor the Didache (a manual for converts) forbid the practice, which certainly must have been an issue given the Baptism of households. :)

I’m sorry, but that’s just incredible. Just incredible the lengths. Show me an infant baptism is Scripture please. Let’s properly assign burdens of proof.

The burden of proof would be on the one who claims the administration of the covenant sign has radically changed between the old and new testament with absolutely no indication of that happening in Scripture. 😉

I’m sorry. What are we talking about? Again, show me an infant baptism in Scripture. Once. A prescriptive text perhaps. Since it’s so normative no one disagreed with it till your view on it was developed in Calvin’s day. Amazing how powerful tradition can be.

Is this an infant baptism citation then? We gonna stick with “households” demands it? On my position:http://biblecia.com/article/statement-of-faith/ …

I find it interesting that you hold no theological positions not explicitly defined in scripture. Obviously implicit texts and inferences aren’t allowed in your view. It would be an interesting systematic theology for sure.

Do you offer the Lord’s Supper to infants too? Yes or no?

Nope. Scripture is clear we are to examine ourselves prior to taking the LS.

The LS is a different sacrament with different requirements. Baptism is initiation. LS is covenant confirmation and renewal.

Baptism is not initiation. That’d be consistent only with a baptismal regeneration view...which Reformed theology denies. True initiation is the circumcision of the heart, gentlemen. Monergistic regeneration. It is by grace alone through faith alone. We’re not initiated by works.

I understand that is the Baptist view. I used to be one. Do you understand the what the Reformed mean when we talk about baptism being a sign and seal? What we mean when we call it “initiation”?

You would, of course, read that in context of the previous QAs on baptism. But you’re not wrong. (Sorry, I’m working).pic.twitter.com/9YzvW563sv
