    Mrs. Barbara Terry's Health Science students practice the necessary skills to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). They will begin their clinical rotations soon requiring them to put to use the skills they learn at Bibb County Career Academy.

    Kaylynn Hardy, a Work-based Learning student at BCCA, is working at Cahaba Medical Care Dental. Kaylynn hopes to become a dental hygienist and will use this valuable opportunity to jump start her pursuit.

    Jayden Holden, a Work-based Learning student at BCCA, is working at Holden Contracting. Jayden has many responsibilities which include answering the phone, drawing up contracts, filing contracts, making daily deposits, and writing checks for credit card payments.

  7. Ms. Faye Royal and Mrs. Shakina Wheeler from the AL Department of Public Health spoke to Health Science students about the dangers of Vaping and Smoking. Students also learned about HIV and ways to stay safe from communicable diseases.

  8. BCCA's Health Science students sponsored a Penny Drive to raise money for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Thanks to the donations from BCCA, BCHS and WBHS we were able to collect $1,000.00 for pediatric cancer research.

  15. BCCA's Mechatronics students use the skills they are learning in class to help maintain the lighting fixtures around campus. Students have been practicing inside the classroom using circuit boards to learn the basic concepts of electrical current.

  16. Congratulations to Ms. Gabby Pringle for co-presenting research & being a panelist at First Generation Conference on November 8th. She also won the alumni award.

  18. BCCA welcomed 8th grade students from Centreville Middle School yesterday. Students were allowed to meet the teachers, get hands on in a couple of the programs, as well as meet with current BCCA students to discuss their personal experiences at the tech center.

  20. BCCA's Health Science students got first hand experience this week using their assessment skills during the RES Health Fair. HOSA students assisted with checking height, weight, vital signs, and hearing.
