Dr. Nahid Bhadelia Retweeted The COVID Tracking Project

I think the scariest thing for those of us in public health right now is knowing that this is not the peak. This is the incline. It will be a rough few months. Please do your part. We in healthcare are here for you but that may not be enough. Because there aren’t enough of us.https://twitter.com/COVID19Tracking/status/1333573974404460546 …

    Dr. Nahid Bhadelia added,

4 bar charts showing key COVID-19 metrics for the US over time. Today, states reported 1.6M tests, 147k cases, 96k currently hospitalized (record), and 1,136 deaths.

Our daily update is published. Our testing, case, and death statistics continue to be affected by the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend. Hospitalizations are less affected by the data slowdown and are at the record-high level of 96,039. pic.twitter.com/Z849KJR8JJ

Sounds like a good idea but can't be done. A national mask mandate can only be suggested. What is more likely is increased testing, depending on how quickly that can rollout and where we are with the vaccine distribution.

Oy Vey! It like being in a war. One army agrees to a truce & follows the rules. The other army keeps on fighting as all of these combatants have a death wish. #COVID will be part of the American experience long after we're gone, even with a vaccine that many will refuse to take.

The most scary part is the current administration has stopped even pretending they’re doing some thing about Covid19 since DT got out of hospital.

Our increasing test positivity nationally & in hard-hit states, decreasing case doubling time, implying many more missed chains of transmission as well as the likely results of thanksgiving gatherings and travel

A dual peak? Perhaps a plateau for a week or so before the next increase.
