I had to get one because my last soundcard ‘bricked’ my PC...
Thank you - and me neither! They were sort of legendary when I was little. 
Pairs nicely with LEGO Red Alert 
The only time I've heard of Gravis was with the PC gamepad, which I had as a young kid.
The Ultrasound was the, or one of the, first wavetable midi cards. So it sounded much more realistic than a Soundblaster. I don’t think it did digitised sound though for sfx, so you needed both!!
