    Disappointing to hear McDonnell - who has been better than most - blame this on Brexit. Anyone who has canvassed knows that to be false. Corbyn came up again and again and again on the doorstep.

    Unbelievably frustrating in Wimbledon. Tories hang on by 628. The Lib Dems polled 19,745. Labour polled 12,543. Remainers were in the majority. Remainers lost.

    Thank you to the 20,287 people in Harrogate & Knaresborough who voted for me yesterday. I am enormously proud of the team who worked so hard. There are some outstanding candidates who missed out by narrow margins - we will keep fighting for our liberal values

    Are the Tories paying you? They jolly well should because you are doing great work for them. To win an election Labour has to appeal not just to the centre but to the soft right. All you are is one of the Tories' useful idiots.

    Labour deliberately mobilised to places where the Lib Dems could have taken seats off the Tories. If they'd sent their activists elsewhere, Labour would have more MPs, the Lib Dems would have more MPs. The Tories would have fewer MPs.

    Labour mobilisation against tactical voting seems to have cost LibDems quite a lot of seats.

    Disappointing national result for us down to our awful system. Overall majority for went up 4% but we go backwards on seat numbers. vote share went up only 1% and they get a big majority. Unjust unfair!

    A clear as day example of how broken our electoral system is. (We say this every time, right?) It took almost 10x as many votes to elect a Lib Dem MP than a Conservative. Labour are the only socialist party in Europe to not support fair votes. We have to make this a priority.

    Every door I knocked on, and my team and I spoke to 11,000 people, mentioned Corbyn. Not Brexit but Corbyn. I’ve been saying this for years. The outcome is that we’ve let the country down and we must change course and fast.
