And yet the Marlins have won the world series twice as the wild card team.

Huh I wonder how that season went for the M- [a grand piano falls on my head, moments later I pop out with all of my teeth replaced by piano keys which play Meet the Mets]

Mets lost the division lead quicker than you lost your wife.

Please don't mention 2007 and first place in the same sentence ever again. Thanks in advance.

At least if they fold like 2007, they'd still get in with the extra wildcard.

The 2003 Mariners finished in 2nd Place, 3 games out. They were not the WC. The 1995 Rockies finished in 2nd Place, 1 game out, and lost the NLDS to Atlanta. The Marlins have never won a division title. They have never been in 1st Place in July, except 2020.
