According to the 2017 MN Youth Tobacco Survey, “nearly 20% of high-school students use e-cigarettes and 40% have tried them.” We have no idea what the long-term effects of these devices are. As a member of the Appropriations subcommittee that oversees the FDA, I’ve been working to address youth e-cigarette usage, which the Surgeon General has deemed an "epidemic." I’m also proud to support HR 2411 – which raises the age to buy tobacco, including e-cigarettes – to 21.

A lot of teens are smoking carts of weed through a Dab Pen at high school. They are closing bathrooms and putting police officers in the bathroom at Woodbury High School to try and stop this. Tough deal.
