The Committee rejected, on a 23-26 vote, the McCollum amendment to protect students from being scammed by colleges peddling worthless degrees. Ranking Members @rosadelauro and @NitaLowey and 19 @AppropsDems supported the amendment.
I’m introducing an amendment that would prevent @BetsyDeVosED from reinstating a failed higher ed accreditation agency that was responsible for thousands of students (many of them veterans) taking on millions in student debt for worthless degrees.
