The bipartisan bill was not a government bill, it was a privatization bill. Your hint was in the word 'bipartisan'. No doubt there are members of Congress that own stock in the private companies about to get major government contracts.

Just hope the states run by the Republicans use the money for infrastructure and not line their pockets.

Have to disagree with your last sentence. Government (U.S. Taxpayers) built the Iron Dome for Israel and now are giving Israel another $1 Billion to maintain the equipment.

City, state and federal governments routinely fail to include realistic maintenance and repair costs in their projected budgets in order to make their spreadsheets look better when they know their will be a deficit. Kicking the can down the road....

Building new stuff gets a lot more accolades and naming rights than maintenance even though they are equally important.
