We are constantly hearing from the GOP and corporate Democrats about how much people *love* their private insurance companies because of the “Freedom of choice.” Let’s see how free we are. Please reply to this post with your monthly insurance premium as well as your deductible.

$700 per month and high deducible. That is what my husband pays for me on his insurance through Nordstrom. He is in IT security and he was laid off last month. Now we will have to pay COBRA or other to the tune of 1500 per month. I am self employed.

This is outrageous! I am so sorry to hear of your difficulties. People here in Maine are experiencing the same. We must end this terrible system of employer-based healthcare.
