NPR doesn’t seem to get that the ability to stay home during a pandemic is sorta the point of the unemployment assistance!

the reporting is a good case for UBI though. immunodeficient employees can stay home, and those willing to work & make coffee for essential workers are able to do so without forgoing their benefit.
