I was offered a job in a toxic environment last week, interviewed by a woman who, before the interview ended, told me she had lung cancer. I later requested a respirator to use in that area if I take the job. Never heard back. Workplace pollution is common and commonly ignored.
Environmental justice means ensuring all people have a healthy environment where they live, regardless of race, income, or education.
I’m fighting for a #GreenNewDeal because our most vulnerable shouldn’t suffer the most pollution or worst health outcomes.
