This “we are not Washington” rhetoric has been used like a cudgel to put down good, socialist reforms here in Portland that would have improved material conditions for workers. I don’t trust it. I reject it. There is not much difference between DC and Augusta imo.
I agree, @GovJanetMills. We are not Washington. We are Maine, and when I'm this state's next U.S. Senator, I will work for Mainers, not special interests from D.C.
