I do have a question. 12 weeks, while I know they do that in the UK, is that enough time for the public to vet the candidates? I'm of the opinion that it takes a while for politicians to show their true faces. Also does the initiative have standards for candidates interviews?

Limit the election season to 12 weeks
Prohibit corporate donations to candidates

The last thing I want is for MSM to have more control over us getting to know the candidates. I don't trust them to say the least.

I think by making it publicly funded and a shorter cycle, then that limits MSM more than a longer cycle. I would hope the public would focus more on what the candidates were saying in those 12 weeks rather than what the MSM was saying about the candidates.
