Agreed. 12 MONTHS is a nice round number though.
Today, I’m calling for a constitutional amendment that restores our democracy:
Overturns Citizens United, because corporations aren’t people and money isn’t speech.
Requires public funds for candidates.
Limit the campaign season to 12 weeks.

REALLY?! You do realize that that makes it harder for people like yourself Grassroots people to rise while at the same time favoring incumbency and those backed by the establishment. Do you actually think people would have known about Bernie 2016 if he only had 3 mos to campaign.

If we are gonna get rid of the electoral system and candidates hit more than a few states hard every election year 12 weeks wont be enough. I'm not sure it is now.
