I would submit that it isn't the laws, it's the culture. We idolize toxic masculinity. We tell kids that real men handle their problems with violence. We pose and take pictures with our guns, then post them on social media with statements about our willingness to use them.

Kids today have never experienced a period where we weren't at war. Our police are becoming more and more militarized, reinforcing the idea that violence is the answer. I support gun sensible legislation, but until we change our hearts, it won't stop.
