General Mick Zais will bring a lifetime of service to America's students – 31yrs active duty military, 10yrs as a college president, and 4yrs as a Superintendent of Education. Pleased the Senate is finally moving forward with consideration of such a uniquely qualified individual.pic.twitter.com/lIysb59w7X

So "uniquely qualified" is what we're looking for now? Not highly qualified? Funny... because as a 4th grade teacher, even I'm required to be highly qualified. #dumpdevos

Wonderful. Someone else to help you dismantle the public education system and protect your personal financial ties with the student loan debt collection companies - just like how you recently folded the dept that goes after those companies into a dept that doesn’t.pic.twitter.com/c9YmOpKaI9

I suppose you'd like an inept teacher, those who teach Marxist ideology and politics to our kids. Time to clean out our schools of this BS! Teachers are afraid of Charter Schools because their students will choose to go there instead of public schools.

No people are afraid of charter schools because they are inferior. The people who own them are making a profit off of taxpayer dollars. Money that could be going to students. If teachers have to be highly qualified to teach the Sec of Ed should be highly qualified as well.

If Charter schools are so awful, they why do they have to have a lottery system to choose their students?

Because they are good at marketing and most people do not understand what the charters are doing.

What do you know about being a “qualified individual” in regards to a job in education? Are you seriously still pretending your cabinet appointment is legit? You are the least respected head of education in our nations history.
