Let me decipher this: Politicians are going to sacrifice quality educations for marginalized groups to make it seem like "in-demand careers" are a good choice when really you are just sending them off to trade schools ($$$) to become cogs in the machine.

I'm a community college professor in California, and our students have greatly benefited from Perkins grants—they help us cultivate new curriculum and afford supportive technical equipment. Thank you

How about putting vocational programs back into HS so kids can graduate with a skill set instead of incurring more debt or not finish at all.

your plan will destroy public schools,taking $ from public education to fund private schools with a voucher system that can be circumvented to keep lower income out. Keeping the poor undereducated with little to no path to higher learning.
