The message from and the in the House over the shut down should be, "We don't negotiate with hostage takers." The reason is that if they do, Trump will just keep holding government workers hostage every time he wants something.

Canada's current target is not consistent with the science and only partially engages our best and most effective tools. Liberals have to face facts- being better than Scheer is a low bar. It does not reach Paris goals.

If and were intelligent, ethical, and responsible people, interested in sound public policy, they'd be asking 'Why isn't there a helicopter pad at Harrington Lake, the summer residence of Prime Ministers? No helicopter pad is a serious security breach.

Gee, I wonder how this is going to work out? Sure would be nice if I could withhold the portion of my taxes that are going to fund the TMX pipeline and finance the subsidies to Alberta's oil and gas industries.

It's a party of one. MPP Mike Schreiner may be the lone voice of the Green party in the Ontario legislature following his historic victory last June, but he’s had no trouble making himself heard.

., next time the notion of $300/tonne carbon tax comes up, you might want to ask the obvious question. What would our energy use be with that carbon tax? It would mean that almost no fossil fuels were being used and people were paying very little tax at all.

You wouldn't know it from or other 'news' agencies in Canada, but climate change is the defining issue of our time. The odds are we'll lose to it, but it's not inevitable. Here's a 100 ways to win. For individuals, #1 is adopt a plant-based diet.

What's interesting and sad (to me) about this "Top 10 solutions to climate change" is that it is not reflected in 's climate change framework, and certainly not in any conservative politician's climate change "plan."
