And it has become a "thing" for Trump judicial nominees to refuse to opine, at their confirmation hearings, on whether this case was correctly decided. Another dog-whistle for Trump's racist base, sadly.

I visited the National Historic site in Topeka, KS last week. It’s housed in the original segregated African American school. All of the exhibits, videos were so very well done! If you’re cruising through KS, do yourself a favor and stop for 90 minutes, you’ll be glad you did.pic.twitter.com/lYjrB11XxZ

Sadly, in 2018 Trump and DeVos and Sessions are doing everything in their power to take the country backward to the days of Jim Crow.

It would seem a lot of the country would relish that. What did we do, for them to sustain this level of hate, over these many years. Some whites are holding on with all they got. Trump is their leader

I grew up in Mississippi during the 1960's and 70's and Mississippi fought for public school segregation to the bitter end. I attended my first desegregated school in 1970 at age 13 just outside Jackson Mississippi.

I was born 64 years ago today, the week the desicion came down. With the recent passing Linda Brown, it is so sad to see that in some ways, the world hasn't changed that much. Education is the Silver Bullet.

Back in the day - when American leaders truly led and believed in justice. We must weather the current storm of ignorance and racism - the pendulum will swing back again.

Let’s not forget that the NAACP's chief counsel, the great Thurgood Marshall—who was later appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1967—argued the case before the Supreme Court for the plaintiffs. Marshall won the case and argued brilliantly

Seems like we are turning back the clock. Charter schools have reopened the door to segregation and have weakened public schools.

What does it say, when I’m not sure if the Robert’s Court would come down as decisively as the Warren Court? (Much less our POTUS or Congress not attempting to sabotage at every stage.)

Was at a seminar , he asked the question in the context of an analysis of the opinion both in relation to the constitutional reasoning underpinning it and the current makeup of the court. Unsurprizingly he did not provide an answer but I suspect he would’ve reached same decision

Would have liked to catch that. Very happy to be corrected. A good reminder that in reality the judiciary has been our stable pillar and despite the swing right, it’s still very much w/in the martins and mostly intellectually honest. Thanks for taking the time 👊
