Hunter Gray (seated, left) later recalled of this Jackson MS scene, 55 years ago, "They cut my face with sharp brass knuckles. Someone cut the back of my head with the jagged edge of a broken sugar container...I was burned with cigarettes…The air was filled with...the N-word."pic.twitter.com/KyP08sahjP

Can you imagine the bleeping cajones of those folks seated? There isn't a police office in sight which I'm sure is no accident. You want to know what the price of freedom is? Take a look. It don't come cheap.

And 'Religious Freedom' has been used for far too long to justify discrimination. Time to push back hard on this BS. http://digitalcommons.law.yale.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=4770&context=fss_papers …pic.twitter.com/nbptZK1HTE

We have a president who promotes racism. I lived near trumps casinos. The manager would pull all minorities from the casino floor when Trump came to visit. Seeing minorities working for him would send Donald Dotard into a rage

America likes to play the moral police in the world and at the same time tries to pretend their long history of racism, hatred and genicide never happened.

I have lived in 7 different countries and travelled extensively in about 30 (countries) and I can honestly say that I have never seen the level of racism I witness every day here. Only South Africa stands to be equally, if not more racist.

While America has serious flaws, as an expat I see how many are willing to risk it all to reach our shores. America and Americans have aimed to be on the right side of history more often than not. I have to believe we will course correct.

We are backsliding, we never really faced our history. How many were uncomfortable hearing M.Obama remind us the WH was built by slave labor?

It is important to face this country history and teach it in a much deeper and extensive way than it has been and still is taught.

Nonviolent resistance is an awesome power. For anyone who can be persuaded to truly SEE, these heroic resistors took the arrows so that it could all be seen.
