RFK, was he the last politician who personified genuine care for America and its people, the last politician not out for the fast-buck? It’s sad, but I can’t think of a modern politician who comes close.pic.twitter.com/adl7yKgv99

you're making me cry again...RFK took his dog with him while campaigning? Oh my heart!
A person with a pet is a person we want running the country because they have empathy for others, and are unselfish.
I can’t imagine a dog in his house.
None wants to be there, mine wouldn’t.
@BeschlossDC, while we weren't campaigning our dog Freckles, has always been a close supporter of our family. Oh, how we miss those who stand for love and decency.pic.twitter.com/xPFZBTRxLh
I bet those cold Oregon waters reminded him of home.
Looked like a kid, didn't he?
I shook RFK’s hand in Portland when my dad took us to hear him speak in a local park. Days later, he was gone. Such sadness.
When there was greatness.
All great presidents loved dogs
. Interesting how Trump has no White House dog
I SO MISS THOSE DAYS!
Cocker or springer? Either way, it's a good dog.
Even after 50 years, the nation still mourns RFK...and what could have been.
What if and if only. Sigh.
I have seen so many fantastic pictures by following you. Thanks so much, Michael.
Please tell us it's all going to be OK. It feels now, like the country must have felt after his loss.
This photo was taken near my hometown. My mom took me & my best friend out of 5th grade for the day so we could see his speech in Astoria.
There is an awesome documentary about RFK's run for president on NETFLIX; an inspiring reminder of a time in which (some) people believed we could alleviate poverty and build a better world. How different things might be if the killings of '68 had not happened.
