Crosby,Still,Nash,Young pushed "Ohio" to the airwaves within 3weeks. David Crosby @thedavidcrosby was in tears at the end of the take, and it's his voice you can hear keening in the fadeout: "Four. Why? Why did they die?"

CSNY quickly brought their song to Cleveland's Public Hall for an unforgettable performance. They gave us an anthem to carry through the years and strengthen our efforts to build a better world.

I was only 7 at the time. It amazes me the history I have witnessed. When i see the tragic events of today....I wonder why we haven't learned from history. The music of those times speak volumes. To bad people don't take the time to listen.

Isn't it ironic that we're dealing with many of the same Nixon political tricksters on the right. The president was/is a protégé of Roy Cohn, Roger Stone, even Alan Dershowitz.https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/former-mccarthy-aide-showed-trump-how-to-exploit-power-and-draw-attention/2016/06/16/e9f44f20-2bf3-11e6-9b37-42985f6a265c_story.html?utm_term=.8cee87aa29f2 …

for some us who were also in college and protesting, this was the day the music died. that "authority figures" would actually kill students who put daisies in their guns was shocking and terrifying. we protested more often and louder.
