That's amazing! I can see the awesome super gay so much better.
Can anyone name any of the reporters?
I bet Walter Lippmann is in there.
Looks like a modern day Republican conference on womens rights !
You (and your photos) are my favorite part of Twitter - thank you!
I am wondering how many will get this reference.
Michael will. He could probably write a book on it.
One woman and no people of color. Nothing against any of these men. But I am glad I live in an era where the market place of ideas and talent now include women and minorities. I am better for that.
I don't see the woman.
You're right. Just another guy, in a tan suit.
And tonight’s bigger and more diverse #WHCD crowd.pic.twitter.com/mnSEPx2quc
More women, and more diverse, but still looks overwhelmingly white.
As the country is overwhelmingly white. That’s how ratios work.
If the ratio in the room followed the US population's demographics, it seems like at least 20% of the people in the room would be POC. https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/US/PST045216 …
There is higher ratio of whites who desire 2 b journalists compared 2 other races.Americans who r of Asian heritage overwhelmingly go towards engineering/ software. take a photo of Oracle or googles staff & see imbalance there. R u depressed about that? If not then drop the topic
I'm not depressed about the topic, but I find it interesting. Where do you get your stats about who wants to go into journalism? Asians and engineering is an old stereotype. I don't know that it is true. What are your sources for these statements?
I am highly exposed to the IT and engineering fields, eye test reveals that. With only 5% of population, we are totally inproportionately represented in IT.
The proportion is different where I work. IT and engineering are white except one person. I remain intrigued as to why the lack of diversity in journalism. Given the importance of the 1A, I would like to see greater diversity of perspective.
