I look forward to everything you post. I especially love this precious letter. The art of letter writing has given way to emails and texts. Handwritten notes convey feelings. This one truly does. I can feel it as I read it.

He is a big writer. My mother worked on some projects with him when he was a Congressman in Houston. She always said he was the only Republican she would ever vote for. I wrote to him when she died and he sent me a very nice hand writen note on WH notecards.

My kids are in public school and it is still taught. I hear this a lot. But it must depend what state you are in. But NJ and PA still teach it.
