It's heartbreaking to imagine how different the world would be...
One of the sadest days in my experience as an American citizen. How the course of history changed around the assassination of this fine man and, at the time of his assassination, the favored candidate for a nomination to run as President. Instead we got Nixon.
And a prolonged Vietnam War. #tragic
What a speaker!!! When MLK was gunned down & RFK had to tell the crowd the news, HIS ORATORY SKILLS GRABBED THE HEARTS OF THAT CROWD & his words held back a natural swelling of emotions that lead to prayer instead of violence! Who else COULD?

Since we're back in time Parkland was the name of the hospital on Dallas where JFK was taken and died
My parents took me to see him few weeks before we lost him. He and Ethel shook every hand in our small town! Always wonder what could of been for America. His wisdom never ends!
Oh God. April 4th and June 6th coming up fast.
Having campaigned for RFK in 1968, the painful memory of the Ambassador in June has never left, cutting even deeper than 11/22/63. His down-to-earth, everyman demeanor bound us to him. Even any notion of him causes welling up. The void left by his passing can never be filled.
Same. As a 17 yr. old high school senior volunteer, I attended a campaign worker seminar where I met all the Kennedy sisters and was at the victory party at the Ambassador Hotel. The grief and sense of loss is still profound.
Robert Francis O'Rourke (@BetoORourke ) looks like Robert Francis Kennedy
Gun Violence.
Sadly Gun Violence to both Kennedy’s.
Funny: I don't think of him in color.
I was privileged to shake his hand at a whistlestop at ATL airport during his campaign. He was with John Glenn. I was struck by his freckles. MLK shot in April, RFK in June. It was as if those bullets tore the heart out of the US that spring.
I was a college student then and went to hear him speak. Got to shake his hand afterwards.
Any security around him?
Yes, but the crowd was huge and they were primarily trying to keep him from being pulled into the crowd. After all, who would do anything? We found out.
