I run to seek new policies - policies to end the bloodshed in Vietnam and in our cities, policies to close the gaps that now exist between black and white, between rich and poor, between young and old, in this country and around the rest of the world.

"Some men see things as they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not." What a great President he would surely have been.

Robert Kennedy can break my heart even today, so many years later... he is that memorable. He comes alive with the mention of his name, with the words he spoke. Missed forever. He would've been such an exceptional president.

This is true, but I’ve also heard analysis that he wasn’t a sure thing to win the primary that year. He announced very late.
