I remember this. 1974 I was 14. I was in 8th grade. I was so frustrated because all these politicians were on all the tv channels after school. Every single day, for weeks on end. So incredibly boring and I wanted to watch Brady Bunch reruns. Jeez.

I have a similar memory as a wee shaver of 7, Jim! The constant talk on the news of this thing called “Watergate”, I wondered how can a water gate be that important, I mean come on Mom and Dad!
-
Showing my age...I was glued to the TV in the student union before, between and after classes to watch the Watergate Hearings. It was amazing and moved much slower than we are seeing with Mr. Mueller.

I think most of the nation was glued to the tv at that time.http://abcnews.go.com/Archives/video/1973-watergate-hearings-nixon-senate-10086225 …

History tends to and will repeat itself, soon
-
Yes, it does. Can't happen fast enough, imho.

I was only 7, but have never forgotten the song I heard probably on some variety show. "Haldeman, Erlichman, Mitchell, and Dean/These are the ones who keep Watergate clean!" Ending with "And the story goes by Rosemary's toes."
-
That's absolutely the tune I remember, though clearly my memory of the lyrics has gone askew. But thanks for finding it, wow!

Today would be a good day for history to repeat itself.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

However, we want Trump behind bars when it's over. Now walking away while everyone else did time like Nixon.pic.twitter.com/CIzavDzyWx

Good times.

I'm not a fan of history repeating itself, but in this specific case....bring it on!!
-
Absolutely! For me, watching the Watergate show during the summer 1973 was fascinating -- not in a truly sickening way, as today -- and in the end, justice was served. G, I worry Trump is decompensating too fast for national security!
-
I worry about that too. Seriously. I mostly try to block it out though, because what can we do? (By "we" I of course mean us regular folk.)
