        I didn't know she was that tall. There are two plaques on the buildings she lived in in Greenwich Village: One on washington square west and one on East 11th Street just off fifth avenue. The WSQ building was her last residence, the 11th street one was her "hideaway" in the '30s

        when she would visit Marian Anderson up on Joe's Hill in #Danbury her driver would visit with my grandparents at the bottom of the Hill as once my grandgather who had a car repair business at home fixed her car during one of her visits

        I looked forward to visiting Val-Kill Cottage, but Eleanor Roosevelt didn't spend much time there after FDR died. She liked to keep busy and stay useful. She seemed admirably broad-minded for her day. http://www.un.org/en/sections/universal-declaration/history-document/index.html …
