One of those moments where as a young woman with aspirations to do more, "go higher", I remember exactly where I was and how it felt when I heard the news. We forget how courageous she was, still inspiring.

I remember that moment & the sadness that followed. She's still our "Teacher in Space" Resting in Peace!

She taught at my high school. I’ll never forget watching it live and seeing my English teacher start to sob. That was the confirmation that I could start believing what I was seeing.

Will never forget being in class and watching it live to celebrate a teacher going into space. We were sent home early. Tragic.

It was my senior yr in HS, I was at home for lunch and was watching it live. My heart sunk in total shock. Didn’t realize what I was seeing. Just so sad. Never ever will forget that day.

I remember that morning. I was having coffee at Yale and an Indian friend walked up to me and said he was so sorry about what happened. I was puzzled until he pointed at the news on tv. It was a sad day for the country and the world.

I remember our 2nd grade teacher talking about her before the flight and how she was going to talk to school children about the trip when she returned. We were very excited. We were all shocked when we heard the sad news of the disaster.

Wow! 32 years ago! I can hardly believe it. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had just moved to California the week before. RIP Challenger Patriots!

I remember Jan 28, 1986* with as much emotional impact and detail as: Sept 11, 2001 Nov 22, 1963 *that day my wonderful neighbor was hit by car while jogging in morning snow storm, as I left the hospital Challenger explosion announced on radio -- bad day

One of my HS teachers made it to the final 10 before they chose Christa. He was crushed to not have been chosen. RIP, Christa & Challenger crew.
