It's also worth noting that one of his signature foreign policy achievements was PEPFAR, which helped stem the AIDS epidemic in Africa. Millions have been saved.
-
Well, that and illegally invading a country, destabilizing an entire region and murdering 1 million Iraqis. There's that foreign policy "achievement" too.

I would have little problem with GWB taking Trump's place right now. I really, really did not like his policies. But I respected him.
-
Right about now I wish we could have any formal president back in office

I often disagreed with GWB and Barack Obama; however, I admire both as husbands, fathers, and men. Donald Trump fails in all three categories.

Trump should take a lesson from Dubya. And he could learn a lot from this guy too.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khi08rq3oI4&t=5s …

Not in the area of immigration, they didn't. Reagan and both Bushes were pro-immigration. What Trump and today's
@GOP want to do is basically the opposite of the Immigration and Control Act of 1986, signed into law by Reagan. He helped families stay here. -
Reagan is partially responsible for why Salvadorans fled their country
-
yeah, the Contras! I remember...
-
The Contras were in Nicaragua, not El Salvador. We were helping them try to take down the Sandinistas. We were involved in the Salvadoran Civil War on the side of the military government against the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front.
-
In other words we backed death squads
-
Yes we did. Which is still a completely different issue than our immigration policy. We can back death squads in a foreign country and also provide undocumented immigrants with a path to citizenship. The two are not mutually exclusive. Reagan proved that.
