The National Anthem at this year’s Rose Bowl was awesome, fantastic singing, fireworks and a stealth bomber. On top of that Gary Senise was head of the Bowl parade. Wow!!

The current divisiveness in America started with these two, especially Reagan. Thanks, Michael, for these glimpses of history.

No, it started with the 1965 immigration act that completely started changing our demographics, and helped Democrats immensely.

Welfare Cadillacs and "government is the problem." I am 71, and don't consider Social Security and Medicare to be problems.

Other kinds of welfare have long been a problem. Such as men and women who wouldn't make good parents having kids for a check.

Back when evil at least worked & worked competently. Turns out incompetent evil is worse than competent evil. Who knew?

Of course, I refer to Nixon as competent evil. Reagan was hopeless & hapless (& also evil).

I can’t think of any other American politician capable of rocking sports coats and slacks — or checks! — with more panache than Reagan. Nixon on the other hand always looked so uncomfortable in his own skin, nothing you can do about that
